~ The Companies (Accounts) Fourth Amendment Rules, 2022 have been notified by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) in order to update the Companies (Accounts) Rules, 2014.
~ The clause referring to “Manner of keeping books of account in electronic mode” has been amended.
~ Under sub-rule (5), in the proviso, the terms “daily basis” shall be substituted for the words “periodic basis”.
After clause, under sub-rule (6), the sentence that reads as follows must be added:
- The name and address of the person in charge of the books of account and other books
- Also, papers in India, if the service provider is based outside of India.
